Gateway to the Motive Power Trades  - 2 week Micro-credential Program

Adult learners who are considering employment in the Motive Power Trades (Truck and Coach Technician (310T), Heavy Equipment Technician (421A) and Agricultural Equipment Technician (425A) can enroll in an 2 week micro-credential program.

Students will increase their knowledge and skills
in preparation for long-term employment in these sectors, with a combination of 2 weeks in-class instruction.

Individuals will gain an introduction to the following topics:  electrical, hydraulics and precision measuring, along with computer and soft skills training that will complement careers in the motive power trades industry (service shops, automotive electrical, heavy equipment maintenance, etc.)

About the Program:

  • 55 hours of in-class training at the TR Leger Apprenticeship Training Centre, Kemptville Campus, 40 Curtis Ave. Kemptville, ON.
  • Successful participants will be granted a Technical Focus Micro-Credential Certificate.
  • All training is fully funded by government partners so there are no enrolment fees for students.
