
Gateway to the Motive Power Trades - 2 Week Program
This two-week program is an opportunity for adults looking to gain knowledge, hands-on training and soft skills in the following fields:

Students learn precision measuring, oxy/fuel cutting and welding processes, in addition to getting an introduction to agricultural electrical systems and agricultural hydraulic systems.
All students taking this course receive safety glasses, cutting glasses, welding jackets, and welding gloves to keep. Financial support is available for transportation.

This program is best suited for:

- Adults currently in related trades who are looking to upskill;
- Adults with limited knowledge and experience in the Motive Power Trades who are looking for hands-on training; and
- Adults who are looking for second career opportunities.
Eligibility:
This program is open to Ontario residents. No high school diploma or prior training required. All participants must be able to travel to Kemptville for in-class and hands-on training. Financial support is available for transportation.
Program Dates:
Participants can enroll in ONE of the following sessions.

- Session 1: Nov 3 - Nov 14, 2025
- Session 2: Nov 17 - Nov 28, 2025
- Session 3: Jan 5 - Jan 16, 2026
- Session 4: Feb 2 - Feb 12, 2026 (Monday to Thursday only)
- Session 5: Feb 17 - Feb 26, 2026 (Monday to Thursday only, *except Family Day Holiday)
- Session 6: May 18 - May 29, 2026 (tentative)
