Interested in becoming a Truck and Coach Technician (310T), Agricultural Equipment Technician (425A) or a Heavy Equipment Technician (421A)?  Do you want to work in these industries in a customer service role? We have the training programs you need!  


What's coming up?

Students Working on vehicleTry A Trade – Commercial Vehicle and Equipment Pre-Apprenticeship Program

  • Try A Trade by taking the Commercial Vehicle and Equipment Apprenticeship in-class training and completing paid work placements in the trade sectors of Truck and Coach, Agricultural, and Heavy Equipment Technician fields.
  • No cost! Paid Work Placements! Mileage support!

This program is best suited for:

  • Adults with some/limited knowledge and experience in the Motive Power Trades who are looking for apprenticeship training; OR
  • Adults looking for second career opportunities

Eligibility:

  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Ontario resident

Program Dates:

  • Start Date:  In-Class- September 23 - December 6, 2024
  • Placements: December 9, 2024 - February 28, 2025




Student using drill press.Earn While you Learn - Hybrid Level 1 Truck, Agricultural Equipment and Heavy Equipment Technician Program:

  • Students attend Friday in-class sessions for hands-on learning and testing. Monday to Thursday students are able to continue to work and complete lessons on their own time.
  • No cost!  Mileage Support!


This program is best suited for:

  • Adults already registered as apprentices and looking to complete their Level 1 Commercial Vehicle and Equipment Apprenticeship Certification; OR
  • Adults with limited experience, but interested in these Motive Power Trades.

Eligibility:

  • Secondary School Diploma or willing to complete Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) at the same time (TR Leger School will support)
  • Ontario resident

Program Dates:

  • Start Date: September 6, 2024 - March 7, 2025

·       Registered Level 2 Agricultural and Heavy Equipment Technicians attend 8 weeks of in-class training to meet their certification requirements for this level.


This program is best suited for:

  • Adults already registered as apprentices and looking to complete their Level 2 Agricultural and Heavy Equipment Apprenticeship Certification.

Eligibility:

  • Registered Apprentice with Client ID
  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Ontario resident

Program Dates:

  • Start Date:  January 6 - March 2, 2025
